VARSITY ROWERS: YOU MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY THE COACH PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR THIS PROGRAM.
The Varsity Competitive athletes practices weekdays Mon-Fri 5:15pm-7:15pm and Saturday 10am-1pm from Aug 22-Dec 15. Open to 9th – 12th graders who have at least one semester of racing experience and coach approval. Team members are expected to attend 90% of practices.

Fall season cost is $900, which includes all fall coaching and equipment; home regatta fees, food and uniform. Payment plan: $450 due upon registration and $450 due on 10/17. Scholarships are available. Please email info@austinrowing.org for scholarship application.

Jr Competitive Novice Team
NOVICE ROWERS:  This is a great chance to try a new sport, meet other rowers from all over Austin, get in shape, and challenge yourself. The novice team is designed for athletes in their first year of competition and practices weekdays Mon-Thurs 5:15pm-7:15 pm and Saturday 10 am-1 pm from Aug 22-Dec 15.  Team members are expected to attend at least 60% of practices.

Open to 7th-11th grade. NO ROWING EXPERIENCE is required.  For 7th graders it is possible to attend fewer practices per week. In that case, the athlete can practice but not race for their first year.  We would need that athlete available for Saturday practices.
