ARC is seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individuals to join our team. You will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our kayak and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rental business located on Lady Bird Lake.
Rental Assistant
$16/hour + tips

- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (e.g., kayaks, SUPs) weighing up to 40-50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of water safety and watercraft handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays required
- A team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Must be available Memorial Day-Labor Day

Tour Guide
$17/hour + tips
- Experience: Previous experience in kayaking, water sports, or outdoor guiding is a plus, but not required. We’ll train the right candidate!
- Passion for the Outdoors: A love of the outdoors and a desire to share that passion with others.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Must be able to clearly and enthusiastically communicate with guests, answer questions, and give instructions.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to paddle for extended periods and navigate various weather conditions.
- Customer Service: Friendly, approachable, and capable of providing a positive experience for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Shift Manager
$17/hour + tips
- Team Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise and support rental staff, including kayak and SUP attendants, ensuring all staff members are performing their duties effectively and professionally.
- Provide guidance and feedback to team members to ensure high standards of customer service and safety.
- Schedule and assign tasks for rental staff during shifts.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Greet and assist guests with equipment rentals, guided tour bookings, and general information about the club and Lake Lady Bird activities.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure a positive, enjoyable experience for all visitors, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment

Administrative Coordinator
The Administrative Coordinator at Austin Rowing Club is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the office environment. This role will support both the club’s leadership and membership, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.

- Availability for early morning and weekend practices depending on program schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Head Coach with on-the-water practices, prioritizing the safety of all athletes and ensuring adherence to club and US Rowing safety protocols.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to refine rowing technique, helping rowers improve their efficiency and performance.
- Assist Head Coach and educate rowers on proper rowing technique, boat handling, and waterway navigation.
- Monitor water and weather conditions to determine practice suitability, ensuring the well-being of all participants.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff and club leadership to align programming with club objectives.
