Conquer the Winter Waters

Winter Warrior Regatta

Challenge yourself in the 8k Winter Warrior Regatta this January, exclusively for Austin Rowing Club members. Embrace the thrill of competition and the beauty of the winter waters.

About the Winter Warrior Regatta

The Winter Warrior is an inner-club regatta held annually on Lady Bird Lake. This 8,000(ish) meter time trial race begins at Redbud Island at the far western end of Lady Bird Lake and finishes at Bird Island at the far eastern end of Lady Bird Lake. Known to local rowers as the “dam-to-dam” row, this annual event has been rescheduled to provide ARC rowers a fun challenge after fall head race season and before winter training starts for the spring sprints.

Established to celebrate the spirit of rowing, the Winter Warrior Regatta is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of perseverance and teamwork. Each year, rowers from ARC come together to push their limits and achieve new personal bests. The regatta serves as a platform for members to showcase their skills and share their passion for rowing, reinforcing the club’s mission to promote rowing as a lifelong sport.
