Junior Rowing Camps
Junior Row to Race 2024
Austin Rowing Club would like to welcome everyone to our 2 week Jr Row to Race Camp! Starting on June 3rd, we are opening our doors to all new rowers grades 7-12th.
In the two weeks you will go from “what is rowing?” to racing! Daily sessions include small boat navigation, basic rowing technique, introduction to training and racing, and the program finishes with a short fun regatta! All enrollees must be able to swim.
Each camp is limited to 18 spots. Campers should be entering 7th grade or up in the upcoming school year in order to participate in Row to Race Camp.

Sent my 2 boys 12yr, 15yr to the 2 week rowing summer camp. The 12yr old did a 1 week camp at TRC prior. Here at ARC they had a mini regatta at the end to show off their skills to the family. Fun!
They really liked it. It was clear on the first day that ARC was different. They really focused on producing kids that like the sport. The structure, the “purpose” to the camp, and the team dynamic really helped my boys. Everyone has a clear role and the team can’t do well with someone on the ball.
We plan on continuing with rowing this year, including me!
