How to Become a Member

Step 3: Fill out our forms

New members need sign our waiver.

Step 4: Sign up for MindBody

Create an account through our MindBody home page.

Membership Options

All rowing membership levels excluding fitness membership require you to be at least a level 1 rower.

If you are completely new to rowing we invite you to explore our learn to row options for a great introduction to the sport.

General Membership

As an ARC General Member, you are able to reserve a shell from 5:45 am – 8:00 pm daily. ARC General members get access to level appropriate equipment including rowing shells, oars, ergs, weights, and locker rooms.  General coaching within our general coaching hours is also included with this membership.

Join a Club Crew: We have a number of club crews (primarily 8+’s and 4x’s) for our general members. New members can join a sublist to row with exsisting teams or find a group and start your own!

General Members also get discounts with our partners ARC Kayak and Paddle, Retro Boats Rentals ATX, and RoFitness.

Price: $85 per month (+ one-time admin fee: $40)

Master Racing Team Membership

The Masters Racing Team at the ARC is a competitive racing team composed of experienced rowers ages 21 and up  (many with college racing experience) who strive to race competitively at national and international regattas. Athletes train together year-round and compete in Open and Masters events at regattas in the spring, summer and fall.

Head Coach approval is required to join the Masters Racing Team. Anyone interested in joining the Masters Racing Team should be prepared to ride along at practices, do an erg test, and be evaluated on the water in a single and/or team boat prior to being allowed to join. ARC Master Racing Team members also get all perks of general membership. 

Price: $120 per month (+ one-time $40 admin fee)

Coxswain Membership

The Austin Rowing Club provides a complimentary membership for coxswains who commit to coxing at least two practices per week, with the opportunity to engage in additional programming at no charge. To qualify, coxswains must successfully complete a certification test with one of our coaches to demonstrate their proficiency. Coxswain membership encompasses all the benefits of general membership.

One-time admin fee: $40 (no monthly charges)

Summer Collegiate Membership

College students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program may join ARC for the summer. This membership covers June to August and is not prorated for late arrival/early departure. Participants who can commit to volunteer with Masters Learn to Row and Novice programs will qualify for partial or full discount on their summer membership.  Students rowing at ARC for the summer may row with any of the Club Crews, get checked out to row a single, or with the approval of the Head Masters Racing Team Coach may train with the ARC Masters Racing Team (for an additional fee).

Price: $120 (three month membership)

Fitness Membership

If rowing is not for your but you are still interested in using our facility, we offer a fitness membership. This is a non-rowing membership and does not require you to be a level 1 rower. Fitness members get unlimited use of the locker rooms, showers, rowing machines, and indoor bikes.

Price: $25 per month (+ one-time admin fee: $40)
