About the Head of the Colorado
The Head of the Colorado (PumpkinHead Regatta) is a 5,000 meter rowing head race held annually on the last Saturday of October. Austin Rowing Club has hosted this regatta since the mid-1980s. 2013 marks the 29th annual PumpkinHead Regatta. A USRowing registered regatta, this event is open to rowers who are USRowing members, or racing for an organization that is a USRowing member.

Austin Rowing Club's junior team will have a concession stand with lunch plates, breakfast items, snacks and beverages for sale throughout race day.
By bike: bike racks are provided in the park and storage is available at the venue tent; bring your lock. Austin Bike Map Venue parking: limited parking is available within one block of 1600 Nash Hernandez Senior Road, along the south side of Nash Hernandez Sr. and where available on Chicon and Comal. All visitors must honor traffic cones, barriers and No Parking signs or risk ticketing or towing.
Austin Rowing Club recommends competitors and fans stay at the Holiday Inn Lady Bird Lake (this link will give access to special group rates). This Holiday Inn is a short walk to the race course. Please contact Bridgette Ards at 1-512-634-1274 for team sales.
