2010 RACE SCHEDULE
Mark your calendar for the annual
4th of July Firecracker 500 Regatta and BBQ
at Austin Rowing Club, Sunday, July 4, 2010
Come for the races and great food, and stay for the fireworks provided by the City of Austin!
Join us for a fun 500m race for ALL levels of rowers,
followed by a BBQ and fireworks at dusk.
NEW! Stand Up Paddle races for men and women.
Anyone can enter! SUP demos after the racing, around 6pm.
Race start time depends on number of entries
BBQ starts at 7:00 p.m.
Don't forget to bring your friends and family!
Race Entry Fees including BBQ Tickets are $15.00 per person,
tickets for the BBQ ONLY are $10 per person.
Race Course: 500 meter sprints from Joe’s Crab Shack to the ARC dock.
SUP Races loop from I-35 to Congress, start and finish at ARC dock.
Events: Novice 1x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 4+, 8+, Mixed 2x, Mixed 4x, Mixed 8+
Adaptive, 1x, 2x, 4x, 4+
Stand Up Paddle Men & Women
Vegetarian dinners available (please note it on your RSVP)
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION:
We will also need some volunteers to help out with the regatta itself. We need safety boat drivers, a marshal for the start, and some finish line timers. We also need chefs to man the grill!
